Our Leisure Time

Ready for a Weekend of Camping!

Camping has become an essential part of our family life. It's more than just a weekend getaway; it's a time to disconnect from the everyday grind and reconnect with each other. Between work schedules, errands, and the constant flow of daily responsibilities, it's easy to get caught up in the rush. But when we head out to explore new places, all of that fades away.

There’s something special about spending time in nature and discovering new places - whether we’re hiking scenic trails, exploring new campsites or venturing into unfamiliar areas. The adventure of experiencing new surroundings, both outdoors and in new towns, gives us the chance to see the world through fresh eyes. It allows us to reset and focus on what really matters: each other.

The simple joys of camping—roasting marshmallows, sharing stories, and laughing together—create lasting memories that are often hard to come by in our fast-paced lives. Camping is a chance for our family to bond away from distractions, reminding us of the importance of slowing down and being present. It's the perfect way to unwind, recharge, and create moments of joy that will stay with us long after we pack up and head home. For us, camping isn't just an activity—it's a tradition that strengthens our family in every way.

Our Pup, Charlie

Charlie

Our dog Charlie is more than just a pet—he's an integral part of our family. From the moment we brought him home, he became a constant source of love, laughter, and companionship. We truly believe that having a dog like Charlie is not only a wonderful addition to our lives but also an essential part of creating a nurturing environment for a child.

Charlie teaches us all valuable lessons about love, empathy, and responsibility. For kids, a dog offers an incredible opportunity to develop a sense of care and connection. They learn how to nurture, be kind, and show patience—whether it's feeding him, playing with him, or making sure he's comfortable. Charlie also provides a comforting presence, offering unconditional love and companionship, something that's especially important as children grow and face the ups and downs of life.

A dog also encourages kids to be active and explore the outdoors. Whether it's going on a walk, playing fetch, or simply running around the yard, Charlie helps keep everyone moving and engaged. His playful nature is sure to bring plenty of smiles and laughter, creating lasting memories for our child to cherish.

As we prepare to grow our family, we know that Charlie will be a constant source of joy and a loving guide for our child. A family dog like Charlie is the perfect companion—helping to teach, comfort, and bond our family together as we begin this new chapter.

What It Means to Become Parents

Fun in a Sunflower Field

Being a parent means taking on the responsibility of nurturing, guiding, and supporting a child as they grow and develop. It's about providing love, care, and stability, while also being a role model and teacher. Parents shape the emotional, social, and intellectual growth of their children, helping them navigate the complexities of life. Parenting requires patience, adaptability, and resilience, as children bring both joy and challenges.

What we expect to like most about being a parent is the profound sense of connection and purpose it brings. There's something incredibly fulfilling about witnessing a child's growth, from their first steps to their first words, and beyond. We look forward to the small, everyday moments, like reading together, playing, or simply talking about their day. We anticipate the opportunity to help shape their values, encourage their interests, and be there to guide them through life's ups and downs.

Another aspect we expect to cherish is the deep bond that forms between parent and child. The unconditional love and trust that develop are unique and precious. Being a parent offers the chance to experience life in a new, more meaningful way, and we're excited for the opportunities to learn and grow alongside our child.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

Our home is cozy and inviting, with three bedrooms and a spacious living area. Our favorite room is the bright, sun-filled family room, next to the kitchen where we love to cook and play board games. The backyard is perfect for family activities, with plenty of space to run around. Our neighborhood is filled with families, some of whom have children of all ages, creating a great environment for kids to grow up with built-in friendships. One of our favorite times of year is Halloween, when over 200 children visit, and the police and fire departments join in to hand out candy.

We're also close to several community parks, where we love walking our dog. Each park has a playground and one even has a creek Charlie enjoys playing in. There's also a state park nearby that we visit for hiking, kayaking, and camping. It's the perfect setting for kids to explore, make memories, and enjoy some outdoor fun!

Our Extended Families

Chelsey's Family Christmas

Chelsey's family is full of love and connection. She spends time with her dad, Brent, and his fiancée, Deb, at their home near the Delaware shore. Chelsey's aunt, uncle, twin cousins, and grandmother all live nearby, and they often gather for weekends of family fun, including camping trips, beach outings, and game nights. Though her mom, Jo, lives part-time in Florida, they stay close through visits and adventures.

Ed's Family Christmas

Ed's family is just as close-knit! His parents, Chris and John, live a few hours away, but they visit regularly, making the most of their time together. Ed's younger brother is excited to become a fun uncle, and the family is eager to create new memories with the next generation. With plenty of aunts, uncles, and cousins, Ed's family loves celebrating holidays, getting together for meals, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Together, we share a joyful, busy family life, filled with love, traditions, and lots of good times. Whether they're camping under the stars, celebrating holidays with extended family, or simply enjoying a quiet weekend, the time they spend together is cherished. Their families' warmth and close bonds provide a strong foundation, and they're eager to continue building their shared future with new adventures and memories.

From Us to You

We can only imagine how difficult and emotional it must be to make the decision to place your child for adoption, and we want to express our deepest respect and admiration for your courage. As you consider who will provide the love, care, and support your child needs, we hope you will take a moment to learn about us and why we would be honored to become your child's adoptive parents.

We are Chelsey and Ed, a married couple who have been together for 15 years and married for 10. Our journey together has been filled with joy, love, and shared experiences that have only deepened our commitment to each other. We knew early on that we wanted to build a family, and after years of trying to conceive and exploring other options, we feel that adoption is the path that is meant for us.

As parents, we promise to offer your child an environment filled with unconditional love, stability, and encouragement. Our home is one where laughter is abundant, creativity is nurtured, and dreams are celebrated. We both come from families that have taught us the importance of kindness, respect, and hard work, and we are eager to pass those values on. Chelsey is a loving, patient, and nurturing person who has a natural gift for making others feel seen and heard. Ed also takes great joy in caring for others. Together, we complement each other in ways that make us strong partners and we hope will make us excellent parents.

In addition to the love and care we are eager to provide, we want you to know that your child will always have a sense of connection to you. We understand the importance of maintaining a bond between you and your child, and we are committed to keeping you informed about their life. We will send you regular updates through pictures and letters, sharing how your child is growing and developing. We hope that these updates will bring you comfort and peace, knowing that your child is loved, supported, and thriving in our home.

Furthermore, we are open to exchanging emails and phone calls, if that's something you'd feel comfortable with. We want you to know that we respect whatever level of contact you're comfortable with, and we want to build a relationship that honors your wishes and supports your emotional well-being. Your child's story will always be important to us, and we want to make sure you feel connected in the ways that are right for you.

Our promise to you is simple: to love and cherish your child with all our hearts, to provide them with every opportunity to grow into the best version of themselves, and to honor the gift you have given us by always remembering your love and bravery. We can't imagine the weight of the decision you're facing, but please know that if you choose us, we will give your child the kind of life you dream for them: a life filled with love, opportunity, and the unwavering support of two people who will always be there for them.

Thank you for considering us as part of your child's journey. We hold you in our hearts, and we are praying for you as you make this incredibly important decision.

With love and gratitude,

Ed & Chelsey
